iPhone and iPad: Apple Standard EULA
Outlays distributed through Apple’s App Store uses Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). The complete license is available at that link and applies to the Apple app, its upgrades and your permitted use of it. Seventh Software is the application provider. We have not substituted a custom Apple EULA.
Our User Agreement explains the service and local-record responsibilities; our Privacy Policy describes our actual data handling. The Apple Standard EULA governs the Apple software license if any wording on this site conflicts with it.
Android: license grant
For the Android version, Seventh Software grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Outlays on compatible Android devices you own or control for lawful purposes, subject to this EULA, applicable Google Play rules and the User Agreement. The software is licensed, not sold. Rights not expressly granted remain with Seventh Software and its licensors.
Permitted use and restrictions
You may use the app to maintain your own records and export or back them up. You may not redistribute, sublicense, sell, rent or commercially exploit copies of the software; remove ownership notices; circumvent security protections; or copy, modify or reverse engineer the software except where applicable law or an included open-source license permits it. These restrictions apply to the software, not to your own expense records or other content you own.
Data, permissions and third-party services
The Android app stores records and receipt photos locally. Optional camera access, photo selection, file imports and exports are described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your entries, device security and backups. External destinations you choose are governed by their own terms. This license grants no permission to automatically collect or sell your financial records.
Updates, support and termination
Updates may replace or supplement the app and are covered by this license unless new terms are provided. Support is available from Seventh Software at support@seventh.dev. Google is not the provider of Outlays support. You may end this license by ceasing use and uninstalling the app. It may end for material noncompliance subject to applicable law. Save needed records before uninstalling; termination does not authorize remote deletion of your records.
Warranties, liability and applicable rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Android software is provided as available without an assurance that it is error-free or suitable for every purpose. User-entered records and budget estimates must be checked before use. The warranties and liability provisions in the User Agreement apply. Nothing in this license limits non-excludable liability, mandatory consumer guarantees, rights to remedies or refunds, or rights under applicable open-source licenses. Mandatory local law and access to competent courts remain available. App-store purchase and refund rules apply alongside those rights.
